Now lavishly restored to its former glory - in its prewar heyday the hotel was patronized by all the famous and politicians coming to Racibórz - Hotel POLONIA has the best location in town. Built just after the railroad linked the town to the rest of the country, the hotel is now, along with the post office building, the only part of the former station plaza.

After the war the sad days of sleep and forget hotel ended in 1997 when the new, private owner began an extensive refurbishment. The dramatic events of July '97 floods when the Odra's river water went up nearly to the second floor broke the works for a short time. The spectacular staircase and stuccoworks remain only slightly damaged.

The Old Market and the shopping area as well as major business places are only a leisurely stroll from the hotel - we are ideally placed for any guests.
